Escape to the New Embassy Suites Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

My husband and I just spent a few nights at the brand new Embassy Suites in Pigeon Forge, and let me tell you, it’s not your average hotel stay. If you love modern design, large comfortable rooms, and a location that keeps you close to all the fun, this one checks every box. It’s quite possibly the nicest hotel in pigeon forge!

The first thing that stood out? Even though we had a studio suite, it still felt surprisingly spacious. The layout was smart, with a sitting area, a little kitchenette, and room to breathe, which made all the difference. They also offer two-room suites if you’re traveling with more people or just want a little extra space to spread out. Either way, it doesn’t feel cramped, and it’s easy to settle in and feel at home. We didn’t book it but they gave us a room right next to the pool with two cushioned loungers and our own entrance to the hot tub and pool. It made us feel special and we our enjoyed dinner there one night.

One of the things we love most about staying at any Embassy Suites is the breakfast. It’s not just a quick bite like most continental breakfasts. They offer a full spread, including an omelette station where they’ll make it just how you like it. And in the evenings, they host a complimentary reception from 5 to 7 pm with snacks and free drinks. At the Pigeon Forge location, it’s held on the 7th floor at the rooftop bar, and the mountain views are stunning. There’s a variety of comfortable outdoor seating so you can relax while you enjoy your cocktails and snacks.

The Top Golf Swing Suite is also located on the 7th floor, along with pool tables, and is included with the daily resort charge. Games and fun seem to be a theme throughout the hotel. You’ll also find foosball and yard games like cornhole, chess, and more scattered around the property. There are several fire pits. All these extras really feel more like a resort than a typical hotel stay. It’s the little touches that make the Embassy Suites stand out, especially for a getaway in the Smokies.

And that brings me to the pool. It’s large, with plenty of loungers and sunbeds, and yes, there is a swim-up bar. Swim-up bars are pretty rare around here. You can even order food, which adds to the relaxed vibe. There are also barstools on the other side bar if you’d rather stay dry. Whether you’re enjoying a cocktail in the pool or grabbing a bite poolside, it’s a unique perk that really sets this hotel apart.

I got a chance to check out the gym while I was there, and it’s really impressive. Everything is brand new, from free weights, Precor machines to Peloton bikes, so you know you’re working out on quality equipment. I especially liked the Precor elliptical. The space is nice and roomy. Plus, the gym has windows overlooking the pool and courtyard, so it feels bright and open, not your typical cramped hotel gym at all.

The location is great. It’s not far off the main strip in Pigeon Forge and it’s pretty close to Dollywood. One thing to keep in mind is the hotel sits right next to The Ripken Experience, which is a big little league ballpark. So when there are tournaments or games, you’ll definitely see lots of kids and families staying here. The hotel is big enough that you can usually find a quiet corner to relax, even when there are kids running around. I just wanted you to know in case you are looking for total peace and quiet. But overall, it didn’t bother us one bit! We enjoy the family atmosphere.

We’ve been coming to the Smokies with our families for over 30 years, and Embassy Suites is such a great addition to the area. The staff were genuinely kind and welcoming, and the hotel was spotless from top to bottom. We felt comfortable and well taken care of the whole time. All in all, this stay was a win, and we’re definitely looking forward to coming back next time we’re in the Smokies. My photos and words simply do not do it justice! If you’re planning a trip to Pigeon Forge, you should definitely check it out, you might just find your new favorite spot. FYI, there is also Embassy Suites a few miles up the road in Gatlinburg!

Let me know if you enjoyed this review. I’d love to share more of our favorite places to stay and explore, whether it’s in the Smokies or somewhere new!
