5-6
medium apples
diced
3
tablespoons
butter
melted
1
teaspoon
vanilla extract
3
tablespoons
brown sugar or zero sugar sweetener
2
tsp
cinnamon
1/2
tsp
nutmeg
1/2
cup
chopped pecans
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Grease a sheet pan or line it with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, toss diced apples with melted butter, vanilla extract, brown sugar (or sweetener), cinnamon, nutmeg, and a pinch of salt.
Stir in the chopped pecans so they’re coated with that buttery, spiced mixture.
Spread mixture in a single layer on a sheet pan.
Bake for 20–25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until apples are tender and caramelized and pecans are toasted.
Serving suggestion - Spoon dessert into bowls and top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
